1) Demo (unlicensed) mode:

Following codes can be created in the demo mode:

- EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF-14, Code-39, Code-128, Codabar, MSI Plessey.

Following codes can not be created in the demo mode:

- ISBN, ISSN, Code-39 HIBC, Code-128 HIBC, GS1-128.

Following input limitations are applied to the codes available in the demo mode:

- EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF-14, MSI Plessey - input is limited to 0 digit

- Code-39, Code-128 - input is limited to 0Aa signs

- Codabar - input is limited to ABCDENT*0 signs

2) Full (licensed) mode:

The plug-in works in full mode when it is licensed and activated. Full mode contains all functions and code types and no limitations are applied.

Yes. The updates are free for all customers with a valid license.

The plugin contacts the update server automatically. When an update is available a notification window opens with instructions.

No. But we recommend keeping the plug in up to date. Older plug-in versions do not have to be compatible with newer Adobe apps. Updates will also contain new plug-in features and additional code types.

All customers can find the latest plug-in versions in their customer area in the Downloads section.

The activated license enables all the software features which are not available in the demo mode. 

You can purchase the software license on After a successful purchase, you will receive an email called “License(s) and invoice”  where you find the license details. You can also find all your license(s) details in your customer area.

It is a proprietary, single computer, automatically renewable (recurring) license.

The license validity is one year from the date of purchase.

You can do it in your customer area. In the “Licenses” section of your customer area click on the underlined date in the “Next billing” column. It opens the subscription cancellation window. Click on “Confirm” to cancel the license renewal.

The renewal should be canceled 3 months before the license(s) validity expiration date the latest.

The activation should be done directly from Adobe Illustrator or InDesign. Select “Activation” in the plug-in window menu and fill out the Name, Email and Key fields. Then press activate. The license is successfully activated when your license expiration date appears in the activation window and the button “Activate” changes to “Deactivate”.

To deactivate the software just press the “Deactivate” button in the Activation window. The software reverts back to the unlicensed demo mode.

No. License can not be activated on more than one computer at a time.

First please make sure that the software license is not activated. In case it is activated please deactivate it. The deactivated valid license can be activated on any other computer.

1) You can try to repeat the payment by clicking on “PAY NOW” button on the payment rejection page.

2) You can try to repeat/finalize the payment by clicking the “pay” link in the Order confirmation email which is sent to customer’s email address before executing the payment.

3) You can try to repeat/finalize the payment from the Order section in your customer area. Each unpaid order contains a link to pay.

If you cancel the present contract, we have to pay back all the payments we have received from you, without delay and at the very latest within 14 days starting from the day on which we receive the notice indicating your cancellation. Each ArtFlex Software customer has her/his own customer area where all orders, licenses, invoices and personal data can be viewed. It also includes a list of the latest versions of the purchased software. You can log in to the customer area here:

Customer area access details are sent to all new customers by email after making their first order. The email contains a customer area user name and link where the customer area password can be generated.

You can change your personal data except your e-mail and country. In the Customer section of your customer area click on “Change customer details” and do the necessary changes.

In the Customer section of your customer area click on “Change customer details” and change your customer area password.

Click on the Forgotten password link on Enter your registered email address and click on RESET YOUR PASSWORD. You will receive an email with the password reset link.
